Frequently Asked Questions

What UPLB TRAIL is, where its data comes from, and how to get the most out of it.

What is UPLB TRAIL?

UPLB TRAIL (Terminal for Resource Access and Information Links) is a free search directory for the University of the Philippines Los Baños. It puts UPLB websites and student organizations in one place so you can find them without hunting through dozens of pages.

How do I find an organization to join?

Open the Organizations tab, then search by name or acronym, or filter by Type (such as Academic, Cultural or Socio-Civic) and Cluster (Leadership, Public Service, or Culture and Arts). Click a card to see its biography, member count, Org Record ID and Facebook page.

Where does the organization information come from, and how current is it?

Organization details come from the official UPLB Office of Student Activities (OSA) directory at uplbosa.org. Member counts, registration status and record IDs are refreshed from it periodically and currently reflect the 1st Semester, AY 2026-2027.

What do Type and Cluster mean?

Type is the kind of organization, for example Academic, Cultural, Fraternity, Sorority, Religious, Socio-Civic, Sports & Recreational, Varsitarian or International. Cluster is the OSA grouping an organization falls under: Leadership, Public Service, or Culture and Arts.

What are the member count and the Org Record ID?

The member count is the number of members the OSA lists for the organization in the current semester. The Org Record ID is the number the OSA directory uses to identify that organization's record, shown in the organization's details.

How do I report a missing office, a broken link, or an outdated organization?

Use the Contribute form at the bottom of the page. Tell us which website, office or organization needs to be added or fixed, and we will update the directory.

Does UPLB TRAIL collect my data?

Only if you opt in. If you agree on your first visit, the text of searches that return results is logged anonymously to power the Top Searched Keywords list. No identity, location or browsing history is collected, and everyone can see the list whether or not they opt in.

Is UPLB TRAIL an official UPLB website?

No. UPLB TRAIL is an independent, student-built project made for Iskos and Iskas. Always confirm important details, such as registration status or recruitment schedules, with the organization or the OSA directly.
